Plain-English explanation of what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to get it removed.

What we collect

Contact details, nationality and residency information, immigration status where you provide it, qualifications and grades, English language results, previous study and previous funding, household and dependant information where relevant to funding, documents you upload, and records of the estimates and applications you create.

Why we collect it

To assess which courses you may be eligible for, to estimate funding and study costs, to submit applications to education providers on your instruction, to provide support services you request, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

Lawful bases

We rely on your consent for marketing communications, contract performance for the recruitment services you ask us to provide, and legitimate interests for service improvement and fraud prevention. Special category information — such as disability support needs or refugee status — is processed only with your explicit consent.

Who we share it with

Universities, colleges and education providers you choose to apply to; our document review staff; and, where you request it, an appropriately authorised immigration adviser. We do not sell your data. Providers only see the documents attached to their own application.

Document storage

Documents are stored in a private storage area. Only you, our reviewing staff and the provider attached to your application can access them. Uploads are limited to 25 MB per file.

Retention

We keep application records for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy our legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and withdrawal of consent. Contact hello@truepath.study and we will respond within one month.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies only where you agree. You can change your choice at any time.
